City Mobility Plan 2021 – 2030
The Edinburgh-City-Mobility-Plan-2030 is the The City of Edinburgh Council blueprint for a radically different vision of how we move around our city. As the foreword says: “Across the world, progressive cities are embracing the global challenges of climate change and inequality with action and vision. Transport, the way we move people and goods around, and in and out of cities, is being revolutionised.”
Public Life Street Assessment: Corstorphine
In 2017, HERE+NOW C.I.C undertook research and analysis of St John’s Road, Corstorphine and presented their findings to the City of Edinburgh Council. The report, Public Life Street Assessment: Corstorphine, contains detailed surveys and findings that show how crucial it is that traffic issues are addressed to ensure that our local town centre can become a desirable place to live, work and shop.
Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland
Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland (MACS) considers the needs of disabled persons in connection with transport. They have produced various guides and good practice documents to help with designing accessible environments and the removal of barriers encountered by disabled people when travelling.
Active Travel
The urgent case for more walking and cycling in the UK. A statistic-filled report from the Walking and Cycling Alliance, consisting of British Cycling, Cycling UK, Living Streets, Sustrans, The Ramblers. It evidences public support for active travel measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Low Traffic Neighbourhoods
The Scottish Parliament Information Centre provides impartial, factual, accurate information and analysis to Members in support of Scottish Parliament parliamentary business. They have published a guide to low traffic neighbourhoods which is a great place to find out more.

Active Nation Commissioner Report, is a November 2020 report by Lee Craigie, Scotland’s Active Nation Commissioner who works independently of government as a national advocate for Active Travel across the country.

Road Safety
Scotland’s Road Safety Framework to 2030 is a draft of a strategy from Transport Scotland to make our roads safer. The consultation deadline has passed (December 2020), but the document is still relevant.
