Email your representatives

One of the best ways to take action is to email your local representatives: City of Edinburgh councillors, the community councillors, MSPs and MP. Your views really matter and will be taken into account, even if it’s to support an initiative.

If you are writing in support of, or in opposition to something, make this clear in the subject of your email. And make the body of your email personal. Describe how the initiative or policy will impact you – you don’t need to go into great technical details.

Another organisation who can be contacted directly by email are the Spaces for People team (SfP), City of Edinburgh Council at spacesforpeople@edinburgh.gov.uk. They are responsible for the temporary Covid-19 measures to enable things like physical distancing for pedestrians.

Other things you can do

Some of the more specific things you can do to help on an individual basis are listed at the bottom of the pages that focus on our aims.

There will also be meetings and consultations that require urgent, deadline-focussed action and we will flag these up via our Upcoming Deadlines section and the button on our home page.

Signing up to our News section will also help you keep across deadlines and important events. You will also receive our monthly newsletter.

Please contact us to let us know your views, make suggestions, or to become more involved with the group. If you share some, or all of our aims and are interested in becoming a member of Low Traffic Corstorphine, we hope to be able to offer this in the new year.
